Quick Lids For White 5100 Planters
"My `quick lids' for White 5100 planter seed boxes are hinged on one side and secured by a spring-loaded latch so you can open and close them with one hand. They work much better than the original screw-on lids," says Bob Lenz, Carroll, Iowa.
The new lids are made from steel lined with rubber that fits tight against the top of the box when the lids are latched in place.
"The 5100 is an excellent planter, but the original screw-on lids don't always fit right which makes them a hassle to use."
To install, drill three holes in the top of the box. The lids sell for $35 per row.
