Free-Standing Hoop Barns
Silver Stream Shelters, manufacturer of wood and steel-framed hoop buildings, recently announced the introduction of new free-standing hoop buildings that are cheaper to buy and easier to set up, yet built to last.
The economical new buildings have 4, 5 or 6-ft. straight legs that go onto the ground. Tarps are anchored with ratchet tie-downs and ground stakes. Free-standing buildings are available for 30, 38 and 42-ft. truss models. Here are some examples of building prices, both free-standing and wall-mount:
30 x 70-ft. free-standing truss with no ends = $7995
38 x 80-ft. free-standing truss with no ends = $8995
42 x 80-ft. free-standing truss with no ends = $10,250
30 x 72-ft. single steel wall-mount = $4492.00
38 x 100-ft. steel truss wall-mount = $9700.00
Many other models, including wood-frames, are available for on-farm delivery. Custom-sized buildings or special orders also available.
In addition, Silver Stream offers replacement tarps for all makes of hoop structures at a cost of 75 cents per sq. ft. of material.
