Front Axle Floater Kit
![]() |
"They're very popular on flatland vegetable crops where a flat, even seedbed is critical," says a spokesman for Ford tractor in Holland about the special front-axle kit the company makes available as an option for its field tractors.
The kit consists of two large floater wheels mounted side-by-side on an add-on axle assembly. Both wheels are hydraulically driven and can be controlled manually, or set on automatic which turns them on when-ever the tractor takes turns of more than 60?. Keeps the front wheels from gouging the field on turns.
