Fencepost Boot Keeps Posts From Rotting
"It's a simple idea but it works," says the manufacturer of this new plastic fencepost "boot" that slips over the bottom of posts to prevent rot.
The "Post Boot" extends approximately 6 in. above ground when posts are set 24 in. deep. You staple it to the post when it's set. There are drain holes in the bottom to let moisture out.
Sells for from $1.35 to $1.60 apiece de-pending on post size.
