Tumble Drum Mixer Feeds Out Either Side LIVESTOCK Miscellaneous 16-6-15 New portable tumble drum mixer-feeder has a two-way conveyor that discharges feed to either side. The conveyor feeds out at a height of 41 in. and extends 12 in. past the wheels on the machine. "You can feed out one side as you go down the alley, then swing the conveyor to the other side and continue to deliver feed as you back out," says Rich Stutzman, Steiner Ag Products, manufacturer. "Tumble drum mixers have low wear and a longer life expectancy and lower power requirement than auger-type mixers. Another advantage is that you can mix any size batch. It does as good a job mixing 100 lbs. of feed as 5,000 lbs." The large "roll top" door opens hydraulically, allowing you to dump in feed with a front-end loader. All functions on the new mixer-feeder are operated by a self-contained pto-driven hydraulic system equipped with control levers that can be reached from the tractor seat.
