New Valve Controls Water Tank Level
New from the Arrow-Acme Corp. is the non-siphoning Float-O-Matic which automatically shuts on and off to maintain a constant water level in the tank.
One of its key features is that it's non-siphoning, which means it won't allow water to back-siphon from stock tanks into the water system in the event of water pressure failure.
Installs on any tank with only 2 thumb screws. Made of cast aluminum, it has only one moving part. A foam plastic float inside the unit cannot corrode or leak, nor become water logged, the manufacturer points out.
Model 814 (150 gal. per hour at 40 psi) sells for $10.65; Model 854 (500 gal. per hour at 40 psi) sells for $14.95. Both models are threaded for standard garden hose.
