One of its key features is that it's non-siphoning, which means it won't allow water to back-siphon from stock tanks into the water system in the event of water pressure failure. Installs on any tank with only 2 thumb screws. Made of cast aluminum, it has only one moving part. A foam plastic float inside the unit cannot corrode or leak, nor become water logged, the manufacturer points out.
