One Stroke Log Splitter WOODLOT EQUIPMENT Wood Splitters 2-1-3 Latest new log splitter is the EZ Split from Tri-Star Corp., Vandalia, Ill.
It's equipped with a splitting wedge which slides up and down on a vertical shaft mounted on a steel platform. The platform stabilizes the log and splitting wedge during operation. One stroke of the sledge is all it takes to split most logs up to 28 in. in length. Logs not cut square on the ends, or those longer than 28 in., can be laid horizontally and split lengthwise, according to the manufacturer. Overall height of the EZ Split is 341/2 in. It weighs 33 lbs. Suggested retail cost is $42.95.
