Shark Brush Puller
I'm sending along a photo of the patented "Shark" brush puller that my son and I developed at our ranch near Beeville, Texas, which is in the heart of brush country. It's a simple extraction device that grabs trees and brush around the trunk and pulls them out, unlike plows or cut-off saws. It causes little disturbance to earth, grass or other nearby plants. Doesn't leave stumps or rough ground like other methods. It fits on a tractor 3-pt. and is operated by one man.
Two models are available. Model 10 ($1,250) is for tractors in the range of 40 to 70 hp and will pull brush with up to 2 in. dia. trunks. Model 20 ($2,250) requires a tractor of 90 hp or more and can pull out trees with trunks up to 4 in. dia. We have dealers around the country. (Austin E.
