Hand-Held Hydraulic Dehorner
New hydraulic dehomer cuts through the biggest and toughest horns with ease, ac-cording to the French manufacturer, Ram-baud.
The hand-held unit is powered by a 3-in. hydraulic cylinder with a V-shaped blade at the end of the piston. It cuts against a V-shaped backstop. "It's fast and clean, reducing stress to the animal. Instantly slices through the toughest horns," a company representative told FARM SHOW.
The new dehorner weighs 20 lbs. and comes with 24 ft. of hydraulic hose that can be connected to a tractor or portable hydraulic unit, For use on all cattle and goats. Sells for about $1,000.
