New Auger Sweeps Truck Box Clean GRAIN HANDLING Augers (4) 2-2-3 Now you can get those last bushels of grain out of your truck box without sweeping or scooping.
Smith-Roles announces its truck box cleaner, a 5 in. auger that gathers all the grain from the corners of the load and cleans the box in 45 seconds. It retails for $67.
The hand-turned auger is on an adjustable shaft that will fit truck box widths from 78 to 96 in. You just cut a hole in the box for the handle. The cleaner includes a cover for the hole when the device is taken out.
To remove it, just remove a set screw and pull it out. It takes only 30 seconds to install or remove.
Besides making grain dumping easier, the Smith-Roles truck box cleaner makes it safer because you don't need to stand over the auger. Also, you can unload grain completely without removing the tarpaulin from the truck box.
