Electric PTO Mounts On Go Anywhere Cart POWER TAKE OFFS (PTO'S) Power Take Offs (PTO's) 8-1-29 "It frees a tractor for other uses and lets you automate operation of the auger feeding into your grain dryer," says Donald Olson, manufacturer of a "go anywhere" pto mounted on a cart and powered by an electric motor.
"You can wire the motor in with your grain dryer so they both automatically stop and start together. Plus, you can still power the auger with the tractor's pto if you're moving grain in an area where you don't have access to electricity," explains Olson, president of Bricelyn Mfg., Bricelyn, Minn.
His pto conversion cart, equipped with 540 rpm spline, is designed for use with a 10 hp electric motor. Olson notes that it'll handle augers as big as 8 in. in dia. and 60 ft. long.
It sells for $492 and includes the 540 spline, a 12 in. double pulley and belts. You need to provide the electric motor and pto shaft.
