Hassle-Free Drip Irrigation Kit
If you’ve got a few garden plants that need frequent watering, you might like this simple root-zone drip irrigation kit that sets up in minutes.
The “Deluxe Micro Snip-n-Drip Irrigation Micro Drip” kit comes with drip nozzles that apply water to 6 plants, and six 24-in. high stakes that hold the nozzles and support the plants. You use a scissors to cut the micro hose to the length you need and then insert the nozzles. Flow controls let you fine-tune the watering application rate.
The kit includes the 6 stakes, 25 ft. of 3/16-in. dia. drip hose, 6 drip nozzles with clips, a control valve, end cap, and faucet connector. The company says the nozzles are easy to clean and make the kit ideal for use in hard-water areas, where buildup of salts can clog other types of nozzles.
The system can also be fed by a rain barrel.
The kit sells for $24.95 plus S&H.
If you’re looking for a more extensive system, go to Google and search “mini drip irrigation” and a lot of kits will show up to cover hundreds of plants at reasonable rates.
