Automatic Feeder For Remote Areas
Remote areas on your farm or ranch may become more accessible with the automatic Lehman feeder, designed to feed wild game but often used for livestock.
"Sheep and goat users especially like them to keep range animals near areas where they can be checked," says Barry Cornell, manager of the Lehman plant. "Unlike self feeders, you can control the amount fed, and the time of feeding."
When activated, the unit feeds out 1/z lb. of grain or pellets per second and can be set to run several times each day. Feed is spread by a rotor, powered by a battery which lasts 2 to 6 mos. Feed is spread up to 75 ft. away, depending on height off the ground.
Feed flow is adjustable and the unit will handle pellets up to 3/8 in. dia.
Sells for $278, with 250 lbs, storage capacity. A 1000 lb. capacity feeder sells for $478.
