Low-Cost Scaffolding Sold Direct To Customers
Can you buy a quality scaffold set for $79?
Grady Smith, president of ScaffoldMart, says, “Yes!” The low price of a 5-ft. wide by 5-ft. tall scaffold set includes two powder-coated frames, two hot-dipped cross braces, four stacking pins and four spring rivets.
“We have the lowest pricing on scaffolding in the U.S., and I feel we have the highest quality in the U.S.,” Smith says.
For example, the U.S.-made vertical tubes are painted inside and out, and the 1.8 mm horizontal braces are galvanized inside and out to prevent rusting.
A former dealer for another scaffold company, Smith started his Greenville, N.C., business more than a decade ago. Prices are low because ScaffoldMart sells directly to customers and has low overhead costs working out of a 180,000 sq. ft. former tobacco warehouse.
The business’s website makes buying the right scaffold easy, even for first-time scaffold users. Read the “frequently asked questions” to determine the right height and width to order. Sets range from 5 to 34 ft. tall with 7 and 10-ft. braces. Options include wheels, level jacks, aluminum and plywood walkboards, and internal stairs.
“We have an automated line and automated shrink wrapping so we can get an order out on a truck the same day it’s ordered,” Smith says.
ScaffoldMart sells to large wholesalers, rental dealers and individuals such as construction workers and farmers. All sizes are built heavy-duty and rated for more than 72,000 lbs.
“We carry over 30 patterns that interchange with other standard scaffold brands,” Smith says.
ScaffoldMart sells to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada and overseas to a growing number of countries.
