Rated at 1,600 to 9,000 lbs. for pickups and vans, the kits install in 30 minutes to an hour. Unlike air shock booster kits, the4 to 5-in. dia. hollow rubber springs never need adjusting once installed. They bolt to existing holes between the frame and axle and do not take the place of the existing leaf springs. They flex in conjunction with them to improve ride stability and protect against overloading.
The kit eliminates sway, increases overall stability and prevents bottoming out, all while maintaining the existing soft ride while empty, Schuling Hitch says.
