Speedy New Way To Tie Athletic Tennis Shoes
New plastic "lace locks" hold tighter than double knots and eliminate the problem of picking apart wet knots, according to the manufacturer.
The small plastic device simply slips over the laces and a nylon gear wheel is inserted to hold them in place. To tighten, pull the laces tight and slide the thumb knob upward to lock. To loosen, just slide the thumb knob outward to release it. Tie knots in the laces and cut off the excess.
Although designed primarily for athletic tennis shoes, "Lacers" can be used on any laced shoe o rboot. They sell for $3.00 a pair and are available in 12 colors.
