Deere Chopper Attachment Windrows Straw
A new straw chopper attachment for late model Deere combines drops straw in a uniform 4-ft. wide windrow.
It consists of a metal hood and two mounting arms. You simply unbolt the existing straw spreader and replace it with the bolt-on attachment.
"When baled with a large square, small square or large round baler, we're getting approximately 25 percent more straw in the bale out of these windrows," says Larry Pravechek of Pravechek Farm Supplies, manufacturer. "That means fewer bales to haul and easier spreading when bales are used."
Can be used on wheat, oats, corn and soybean residue, he says. Available for Deere 9400, 9500 and 9600 series combines.
Sells for $599 plus S&H.
