You'll Like These Light Fiberglass Gates
"They're tough, won't rust, and will never need painting. They're also 80 percent lighter than steel," says Larry Hunt, Poly-Pride, Inc., Lancaster, Ohio, about his new fiberglass gates.
The gates are made from 3-in. wide fiberglass rails with an exterior layer of pigmented Nexus veil.. They come with a pair of heavy duty strap hinges with screw hooks that fasten onto any wooden post.
"They look great and need almost no maintenance," says Hunt. "The most you'll ever have to do is replace the aluminum rivets. Fiberglass has 10,000 to 20,000 psi tensile strength so the gate is very strong. You can't dent it and if it gets bent over it just straightens back up."
The gates are available in orange, green, and yellow and in seven lengths from 4 to 16 ft. A 4-ft. long gate sells for $49.95 plus S&H while a 16-ft. model sells for $99.95 plus S&H. The gates can be custom built.
