Check Your Mail Without Leaving The House
"It's the best mailbox flag ever built," says Stuart Jefferson of Lorton, Va., about the new bolt-on signalling device he invented and now manufactures along with neighbor Roy Ewers.
"It's dependable in all kinds of weather - wind, snow and ice - and is easily visible for up to 300 ft. It's made out of rust-proof stain-less steel and plastic so it will never wear out," says Jefferson.
"Mail Call" consists of two parts - a bracket that goes on top of the mailbox and a spring-loaded flat that goes on the door. You set the device by slipping the flag under the bracket. When the mailman opens the door to deliver the mail, the flag pulls out and stands up straight. After the door is shut, the bright yellow paddle with with a red dot in the middle is easily visible from the house.
"It makes a great gift. We've already sold thousands of them because people can tell right away that it's a quality product that will last a lifetime," says Jefferson.
