New Non Electric Vent Control
A new non-electric control from Axis Products works like magic to automatically open and close ventilation doors in livestock buildings.
The control arm (about 6 ft. long and 3 in. in dia.) is filled with a special temperature-sensitive liquid. If inside temperature goes above or below a pre-set level, the fluid will expand or contract to simultaneouosly open or close one or more ventilation doors or chimneys.
The special fluid inside is freeze-proof and laced with a rust inhibitor. You simply set the dial at one end of the device to the temperature you want to maintain and the control automatically takes over ù without batteries or plug-in electricity. It can be operated in any plane (vertical or horizontal) and has sufficient torque to operate several ventilation doors, the manufacturer points out.
Sells for $517.
