This "made it myself" swivel gate latch works perfect for all types of gates and swinging doors. Can be installed in place of any existing latch. It consists of a 4-in. dia. circular loop that's mounted on the gate post and a long threaded rod that's mounted on the gate. As the gate is closed, it contacts the loop and swivels it to a perpendicular locking position, catching the rod inside the loop.
