Self-Load Hay Wagon Eliminates Thrower
Any square baler can load this new Canadian bale wagon thanks to a special-designed "pusher" chute that eliminates the need for bale throwers.
The new wagon holds 95 to 100 full-sized bales and, once full, unloads itself through a full width rear gate that dumps all the bales without any manual help. Bales load into the wagon from a chute that runs up from the rear of the baler. Chute adapts to any baler. When disconnected from baler, bales in the chute cannot slide out.
"It's got a castor-type front wheel so it backs up easily like any 2-wheel trailer. Because you don't have a thrower you can travel faster and it's got a quick hitch so you can switch wagons fast in the field," says Clayt Johnson, representative of M.K. Martin, the manufacturer.
Sells for $2,650 (Canadian).
