Many Uses For Super Magnets
New uses are busting out all over for new "Super Magnets" that are extremely powerful for their size and retain their strength for many years without recharging. A Supet Magnet 1 in. long by 1 in. wide and .5 in. tall is strong enough to pull a vehicle, the manufacturer points out.
For picking up nails, staples, bolts, wire and other scrap metal in feedlots and around the fannstead, you can by broom-type Magna Rakes (with or without tines) equipped with Super Magnets. Prices range from $24.95 to $89.95.
You can buy other magnetic tools, including probes for retrieving lost bolts, nuts, screws and other small metal pieces from hard-to-reach crooks and crannies, and magnetic gate "brakes" to hold large gates open.
