Adjustable Drill Bit Cuts Holes From 1/2 to 2 1/2 In Dia.
This drill bit from Austrailia is all you need to drill holes from 1/2 to 2 1/4 in. dia. Lloyd Linson-Smith invented the "Super Drill" bit 13 years ago as a tool for farmers in Australia working in remote areas. It's now available from a number of distributors in the U.S. and Canada
To use, you simply drill a pilot hole and then adjust the side-mounted cutting tooth to the correct diameter. Cuts up to 1 1/2 in. holes in steel and 2 1/2 in. in wood. An optional adapter lets you drill up to 2 in. dia. in steel. Fits a 1/2-in. chuck. Cutting teeth are easy to sharpen yourself.
Basic unit sells for $70.
