Self-Propelled Round Bale Feeder HAY & FORAGE HARVESTING Bale Handling (5) 15-2-22 New self-propelled round bale feeder with articulated steering lets you feed round bales as well as silage and other feeds inside dairy barns or other tight confinement areas. The VestFarm feeder is equipped with a 5-ft. long, 4-ft. wide, and 4 1/2-ft. high feed box. The rear wall of the box moves for-ward, pushed by two hydraulic cylinders toward an unloading chain tilted upward at the front end of the box. The unloading chain unrolls the bale and discharges it onto a chute which can be set to feed to the left or right side of the machine. A gate above the unloading chain can be adjusted to control feeding rate. Unit is powered by an 18 hp Kohler gas engine. Hydraulic motors power the wheels, conveyor plate and unloading chain.
