Cow Tag Wind Chimes FARM HOME Furniture 8-5-31 Here's a new use for those old metal cow tags you've got laying around. "I used to buy ceramic wind chimes, but they'd break in heavy winds," says Joyce Geisler, Burkittsville, Md. "One day, I came across some old metal cow tags. I cleaned them up with brass and copper polish and put the number back on with a marking pen. Then, I tied them to an old ceramic wind chime holder with heavy thread. They really have a beautiful sound and, best of all, they won't break," says Geisler.
