New Stirring Spoon Tells The Temperature
Here's a handy new way to tell the temperature of soups, fondues, jams and other foods as you stir them. Called the Thermo Spoon, it's a ladle with a built-in thermometer.
As you stir the food, an easy-to-read gauge on the top of the handle tells you how warm the food is. The thermometer has readings from 100 to 450? F.
Manufactured by the Thermometer Corp. of America, the spoons are 12¢ in. long and have 3¢ in. bowls.
They're dishwater safe and are available to give readings in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Suggested retail is $16.95 for a solid bowl Thermo Spoon, and $17.95 for a perforated bowl.
