Gauge Wheels For Deere Heads
"Replace the skid shoes on your Deere row crop head with a set of these rolling gauge wheels and you'll roll right over sticky ground and clods that might otherwise get pushed up into your header," says Don Van Howeling, manufacturer of special brackets that let you mount cultivator gauge wheels under each snout. You can either use the gauge wheels off your own cultivator ù if you have them ù or buy the special wheels his company has available.
The gauge wheel brackets sell for $15 per row.
