Concrete Building's Fire, Rodent and Theft Proof
If you've been looking for a theft, rodent and fireproof place to store chemicals, tools and other valuables, Wieser Concrete Products, Maiden Rock, Wis., may have the answer.
They've introduced a precast concrete 12 by 16 ft. building. The basic unit can be expanded in modules to 16 by 24 or 24 by 24, plus additional 12 ft. increments in either the 16 or 24 ft. width.
Erected on reinforced 8 by 12 pre-cast concrete floor panels, the building requires no foundation and is easily erected in one day or less. Bolted construction permits disassembly and moving, if ever necessary.
Individual waffle (for strength) concrete panels are available with or without built-in insulation. The outside finish can be plain concrete, or with your choice of rock aggregate imbedded into the concrete.
The building can be buried into a sidehill for dual use as a tornado shelter and for storage. It's weather tight, rodent proof and requires no inside or outside maintenance. It's equipped with a steel door and frame, and has no windows (unless specially ordered otherwise) for would-be thieves to break into.
