Second Handle For Shovels,Forks FARM HOME Miscellaneous 5-6-31 "It lets you work longer and tire less," says John Storlie about his "Back Saver" handle for scoop shovels and pitchforks.
Made from lightweight aluminum, the handle bolts in a triangle from a point midway up the handle of the shovel or fork to the base of the handle. The added leverage of the second handle makes it possible to move more dirt, grain, manure or other material, in the same period of time, than conventional handles.
Storlie is looking for a manufacturer for the Back Saver.
