Designed primarily for dealers or farmers who do custom soil sampling, its ability to work in frozen ground allows samples to be taken the year-around. Called the "Lion Wizard Soil Probe", it fits into the pickup stake holes and requires no mounting brackets. It operates off the pickup's
12 volt battery and drills 8 to 12 in. deep into the ground. Soil samples taken from several locations in the field are automatically deposited in a small container without having to make hand contact with the soil.
