Deep Socket
"It works great to remove band-type duals from tractors," says Ed Elsbery, Ogden, Iowa. He sawed a 1 1/8-in. socket in half and welded the top half to a 1-ft. long 1-in. dia. steel pipe. He then welded the bottom half of the socket to the other end. "That gives me a ¢-in. drive socket that's over a foot deep. Used with an air wrench, it's handy for work in hard-to-reach spots."
