Farmall F20 with high wheels TRACTORS Made-It-Myself 17-3-36 I'm sending along a photo of a Farmall F20 tractor that a friend of mine, Isaac Newswanger, Kutztown, Penn., rigged up with high wheels to foliar feed corn with liquid fertilizer. I occasionally rent it to fertilĦize my corn and thought it would be someĦthing exotic to show other FARM SHOW readers.
It's a repowered Farmall F20 with a 4-cyl. Ford industrial engine and hand clutch hooked up directly to the transmission. The 7-ftft tall steel wheels were homebuilt, resultĦing in a 51-in. axle clearance. A 110 gal. steeltank mounts underneaththeframe and a Hypro high-pressure pump mounts on the pto. It pumpsfertilizeroutthrough a rainbow fan nozzle mounted behind the driver. It sprays a 30 ftft swath at a time at about 100 psi. It gets the job done. (Aaron W.
