No Rust Plastic Round Bale Feeder
"It won't rust or split and never needs welding or painting," says Joe Payne, Century Livestock Feeders, Kaw City, Okla., about his new PVC bale feeder.
The 8-ft. dia., 3 1t2-ft. high feeder is made from lightweight plastic pipe. It weighs just i 5 lb The feeder's four rings are secured to the legs with stainless steel bolts.
"It's very durable and won't break no matter what kind of livestock use it," says Payne'. "The pipe walls are '3/8-in thick allowing the rings to bend 20 to 40 times their diameter and still retain their shape. Sunlight doesn't affect the polyethylene and it won't deteriorate in even the hottest or coldest weather. It has a life expectancy of more than 50 years."
Sells for $200.
