Unlike a flat pan or tray you step into, the new Sani-Boot cleaner-sanitizer from Wulf Development Co. is easy to keep clean. It fills with fresh water and disinfectant each time it's used and can be heated for freeze-proof operation during winter months.
The washer is a Wulf "swinger" type cattle waterer equipped with an inside scraper and two brushes. To clean it, you pull a pin and lift either end of the pan. It swings up to quickly and completely empty in a couple seconds. Disinfectant is metered into the washer via a companion medicating canister.
Selling price for the unit, just going into production, is expected to be in the neighborhood of $250 for both the washer and medicator. It ties into a pressure water line or can be hooked to a water tank.
