Clean Grass Clippings From Mower Deck
 ✖ |
Steve Dietrich, Morton, Ill.: “Here’s a great way to remove stuck-on grass clippings from under a mower deck. Over the years, I’d lie underneath with a scraper, trying to knock off the hard, baked-on grass, and I’d often hit my knuckles on sharp edges. But now I use an oscillating vibrating tool with a scraper blade in it.
“The one I use is a 5-speed variable, 20-volt Harbor Freight Bauer, which is a step above. I usually use low speed, but if the debris is difficult, I can easily go higher. I like this one because it has a headlight. It’s dark under the mower deck without some extra light. It works for me.”
