Easy Outdoor Service Ramp
![]() |
Handy for a quick oil change or repairs, the concrete blocks are placed on a small slope to provide easy access under a vehicle. Starting with a single course of blocks and adding more as the slope rises creates a ramp.
Most versions we found had some form of block or brick at the end as wheel stops. When set up as a permanent ramp, it’s important to use concrete to secure the blocks and ensure the ramp doesn’t move.
Site choice is also critical, as it can’t be in an area that can be washed out by rain, etc.
Safety is key. You need to be sure that what you are working under is safe, just as when raising any vehicle or implement for service. This is just an easy way if you have the right slope and space, compared to a full-service pit.
