Dr. Jimz
“Jim, you have turned my dryland ranch into an oasis...everything you told me was true, thanks!”
– Owen O. Junayo Ranch
"I talked to Chris L. from northern Indiana yesterday and he said last year on half of his pasture he applied Chicken Soup for the Soil®. This winter when he pulled soil tests his Chicken Soup side is 1% organic matter and 6 CEC. The other side is still 0.5% organic matter and 4 CEC. I thought you would find that interesting." Testimonial sent by Jesse H.

“It is documented that for every 1% organic matter the soil will hold a minimum of 16,500 gallons of water per acre. So, if you increase your organic matter by 0.5% you increase the water holding capacity by 8,250 gallons per acre. Not Bad!” -Jim Zamzow

How to Apply Chicken Soup for The Soil®
Methods of Application - Spray - Drip - Pivots - Side Dress - Foliar - Compost Tea

Baseline Rates of Application
You will get out what you put in with the Chicken Soup... we recommend applying as much as you can without spending more than your farm budget allows; this will vary depending on individual crops, location, yields, and profits per acre. Chicken Soup is non-leaching and stays in the soil.

Examples
•    Hay fields and pasture: 10+ gal per acre
•    Corn fields: In-furrow 5+ gal per acre
•    Corn fields: Side dress 20+ gal per acre
•    Fruit & nut trees: 30 to 60+ gal per acre
•    Potatoes: 25+ gal per acre
•    Everything else: Use what budget allows

Can be used as a standalone solution or successfully paired with conventional NPK. We recommend diluting the Chicken Soup for the Soil® with at least 50% water in your spray tank.

For instance, a corn farmer could split the farm budget and use 50% on Chicken Soup and 50% on conventional methods. The Chicken Soup for the Soil® will help the synthetic chemicals work better than they would alone... this will improve the soil, crop quality, and increase yields without increasing budget.

Important to note: Farms who choose a mixed approach in the beginning typically find that they simply do not need to apply synthetic fertilizer anymore and will commonly drop them all together. After all, the secret to a good crop is a healthy soil. The microbe sits at the table first... When you supply nutrients at a biological level the plant is able to easily absorb the nutrients, and everything improves.

Chicken Soup for the Soil® fertilizer concentrate is the result of over 50 years of R & D and is the most complete fertilizer ever created! Nutrient clusters bind to organic matter and do not wash out of the soil. Nutrients are bioavailable and accumulate over time. Work on all soils. 100% NON-TOXIC. NON-LEACHING. Makes the best compost tea on earth (see instructions on the next page).
