Simple Battery Protectant Stops Corrosion And More
FARM SHOW subscriber John Selzer, Canton, Kan. sent us a shop tip for Whip battery protector from Pro-Tec, Inc. It’s a wipe-on liquid that prevents and stops corrosion or oxidation on battery posts and cables.
The bottle comes with a built-in applicator brush and clean-up of previous corrosion is not necessary.
Whip also works as a penetrating solution to loosen bolts, nuts and screws, and as a corrosion protectant for bolts, screws and wire connections that are exposed to moisture.
Lori Mueller, Vice President of Pro-Tec, says FARM SHOW readers can order direct from the company. “Whip can be used anywhere rust or corrosion is a problem and is ideal for anyone restoring old cars, trucks or farm equipment,” says Mueller.
A 2 oz. bottle of Whip sells for $5, pints are $25 and a box of 24 2-oz. bottles sells for $77. All items are plus S&H.
