Subsoil Sprayer
Accurate incorporation into the soil of pest control chemicals can be done in a single, easy operation with the new Climax Subsoil Sprayer, says the manufacturer. Originally designed for control of root eel worms that damage potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries, beets, bulb crops, etc., the subsoil sprayer works the soil, injects and incorporates chemical and seals the surface.
Coulters slice through trash and start opening the soil for large flat
sweeps , behind. A pto-powered pump injects liquid chemical under the sweeps and a rotary tiller section pulverizes and mixes the surface soil. A heavy steel roller on the rear is driven at slightly more than ground speed to firm and seal the soil surface to prevent escape of the chemical.
