Post Extensions From PVC Water Pipe FENCING Miscellaneous Wayne Beggs Lincolnton Georgia found a low-cost way to lengthen his 6-ft high electric fence by using short lengths of pvc pipe and short sections of T-post “The 6-ft high electric fence surrounds my vegetable garden and over the years I’ve had problems with deer jumping over it ” says Beggs “I decided to add extensions to the posts using 1 1/2-in schedule 40 pvc water pipe which I cut into 12-in lengths “I had some extra posts that were bent up so I cut them up into 18-in lengths and then slid them down about 6 in into one end of each pvc pipe I slid the other end of the pipe over the 6-ft post and then used plastic clips to attach the electric fence line Now the topmost electric fence tape is about 7 ft high No more problems with deer getting into my garden ” Contact: FARM SHOW Followup Wayne A Beggs 3378 Augusta Hwy Lincolnton Ga 30817 ph 706 359-1240
