Big Fight: Deere Sues!
Deere & Co. is suing a company that it was perfectly happy to purchase just a couple years ago.
  In 2015, Deere & Co. made a deal to buy Precision Planting, which was owned by Monsanto. Last year, the U.S. Justice Department vetoed the deal for competitive reasons and AGCO ended up buying the company. Now Deere is suing both Precision Planting and AGCO, allegedly for infringing on 12 of its ExactEmerge planting patents that are related to seed placement, seed spacing, and crop emergence when planting at higher speeds.
