“Helping Hand” Dock Rail
If you’ve ever had trouble getting in or out of a boat due to swaying and rocking, you’ll like this “Helping Hand” dock rail. It quickly attaches to any dock with a 1/2-in. gap between boards and can be easily moved to another location.
“It helps anyone get into and out of a boat, whether they’re young, old or disabled,” says inventor Lynn Carl. “You can attach it to almost any dock.”
The patented, U-shaped rail is made of lightweight aluminum and weighs only 4 lbs. It’s made from round tubing and measures 34 in. high with a 13-in. long, 4-in. wide, 1/4-in. thick aluminum plate welded to the bottom. A pair of holes spaced 4 in. apart are drilled into the plate.
Two adjustable threaded rods with quick release clamps are used to attach the plate to the dock. Each rod has a knob on top and a 1/2-in. wide, 1/4-in. thick metal bar welded to the bottom.
The Helping Hand Dock Rail sells for $150 plus tax plus S&H. It comes with a satisfaction guaranteed warranty.
