Land-Clearing Attachment Pulls, Digs, And Saws
If you can’t pull it out, you can always dig it out with the patent-pending Danuser Intimidator, a new design for a land-clearing attachment. With 21,000 lbs. of force it can pull out trees, shrubs and posts as well as saw or dig out boulders.
“We’ve been launching unique attachments in the last five years,” says Glenn Danuser, co-owner of Danuser. “We wanted to make it different.”
The Intimidator keeps the pulling power at the center with synchronized jaws that open up to 34 in. While smaller trees/shrubs can be pulled out with the jaws, the vertical saw teeth and excavator teeth on them turn it into an effective digger and cutter to dig out roots and the base of larger trees.
In testing prototypes, the Intimidator was used on a skidsteer as small as a 45 hp Case and as large as a 110 hp skidsteer. Using the bigger skidsteer, a 40-ft. tall, 25-in. diameter oak tree was removed in 20 min.
“We always tell people that you can remove any tree on your farm with any size machine. When you can’t pull it, you can always dig. It will just take more time,” Danuser notes. Though skeptical about the claim, customers reported back that it is true.
The Intimidator is ideal for quickly removing invasive Autumn Olive and cedar trees, cleaning out fence rows, pulling fence posts, creating shooting lanes and clearing property for landscaping.
Retail price is just under $3,000 for Intimidators sold through distributor/dealers. The Danuser website includes videos of the Intimidator in action.
