Simple Way To Shuck Sweet CornNext time you shuck sweet corn, you can save time with a simple board and knife system, says FARM SHOW reader Buck Trimble. He came up with the technique many years ago because of his arthritis.
He bolted a piece of plexiglass to the top of a 3/4-in. thick board and mounted a 3-in. long U-bolt with two nuts about 3 in. down from the top.
He slips the point of a butcher knife under the U-bolt for support and cuts off the butt and tip of the ear of corn.
