Cab Liner Kit For Tractors,Combines
You can restore noisy, deteriorated cab interiors on any tractor or combine with new pre-cut, pre-sewn cab liner kits sold by Fehr Cab Interiors, Fairbury, Ill.
The cab lining material consists of vinyl laminated onto 1-in. foam. An aerosol adhesive is used to "glue" the foam to metal surfaces. Industrial quality floor matting - heavy duty textured rubber laminated onto closed-cell foam - is optional.
"It restores cabs to like new condition. Adds greatly to resale value," says sales rep JoEllen Grosshans. "Old wall liners deteriorate over time and lose their sound-suppressing qualities. Some implement dealers sell acoustical cab lining material, but it's expensive. We buy the original-type material in volume and pass the savings on. It looks just as good as new. The more material you can apply, the more you can lower the noise level.
"The kit includes all materials, installation instructions, and adhesives. We take special care that our kits fit because we install many ourselves. We can cut pieces to custom fit any cab if you send us your specific dimensions or send us the old cab parts to reproduce. A Deere combine cab can be relined for $75 to $190; a large Versatile tractor for about $400 depending on whether or not you replace the floor matting. Floor matting sells for $70 per running yard and is 55 in. wide. We cut to the inch, according to your measurements, and pro-rate the cost to the inch.
"We also sell original uncut roll material for $8 per running foot. We sell door seals for many cabs and foil-backed foam for firewalls under the hood. "
