Simple New Biomass Chopper
A German ag research institute came up with a simple new design for a front-mount harvester for sapling trees and other biomass.
A circular blade turns against a set of shears that chop young poplars into 1 1/2 to 2-in. long pieces. A blower sends the chopped material into a trailing wagon.
A manufacturer has licensed the rights to build the machine.
