New “Big Guy” Hydrogen Generator Designed For Semi Trucks
Andrew Herold, inventor of the Hydrostar hydrogen generator, recently announced his new “Big Guy” generator designed for semi tractors, 4-WD tractors, irrigation engines, and other large power units.
“It’s big enough to supply gas to 12 to 24 liter engines and provide 20 to 40 percent fuel savings,” says Herrold. “Working with Darol Mason, we spent a year and a half and more than $30,000 designing the Big Guy generator. Darol also worked a year on the AFR diesel tuner geared for fuel control systems on diesels. It now works on all semi trucks.”
The Big Guy generator is designed to be 185 percent efficient. The plates are pacified and chromed 316L stainless steel. Unlike some hydrogen units on the market that require 60 amps of power, this unit uses only 25 amps for a 12 liter engine and 42 amps for a 24 liter engine.
“Key to the success of this unit was to get a diesel tuner chip that can adjust a semi’s sensors and computer. We are the only company on the market that has a tuner that will work on all engines, adjusting the MAP/MAF, IATC, and the CTS sensor. With the computer adjusted correctly, users are experiencing big fuel savings.”
