Kill Underground Pests With Gas-Powered Rodent Control Machine
Clear out ground squirrels, gophers, prairie dogs and all other burrowing rodents with the gas powered Cheetah. This small engine does double duty, cooling and directing exhaust gases into an air-mixer valve that precisely meters the proper amount of carbon monoxide and air, driving the gases into rodent tunnel systems.

“When we moved to Central California four years ago, our property was covered in ground squirrels”, explains Shaw. “I tried trapping, poisoning and pretty much everything else. Eventually, I even tried hooking a hose to my truck’s exhaust”.

Shaw realized the exhaust carbon monoxide (CO) needed to be under more pressure and volume (parts per million, ppm) to be effective.

The Cheetah motor and air-mixer valve produce 9500 ppm of CO in a 45 ft. tunnel in 30 seconds. The Cheetah consists of a small 2-cyl. engine. The 14-lb. Cheetah comes with a 1-gal. gas container, oil additive for 3-gal. of fuel, a flexible exhaust tube and a tool for spark plug removal. The engine is quiet and EPA approved to meet all standard emissions rules.

Shaw recommends running the engine for only 5 min. to treat up to 400 sq. ft. of burrows. For open burrow animals like ground squirrels, prairie dogs and groundhogs, the flexible exhaust tube is extended 6 in. or more into a tunnel and covered with a few inches of soil. Once the engine is running at ¾ throttle, other entrances within an 8 ft. area are filled in. If air can be felt coming out of the entrance, it’s connected to the tunnel being fumigated. Larger areas may require treating multiple tunnel openings.

Shaw says the Cheetah is easy to use, lightweight and portable. It has deep burrow penetration, and is a cost effective system for dramatically reducing rodent populations.

“The Cheetah is safe to use with no explosives, poisons or chemicals. It’s not harmful to root systems, has a long service life and is built tough to handle rigorous use. Our machine is environmentally friendly and safe for non-targeted animals”, explains Shaw.

Shaw sells his machine direct. “I like to talk to the customer first to be sure the application will be effective for their particular problem,” he explains.

The Cheetah is priced at $1280.00 and comes with a one-year warranty. Shaw’s field testing produced an over 80% kill rate with the first application. Subsequent applications have proven to reduce rodent populations by more than 95%.
