"Best Buy" Ice Scraper

I got an unusual request from a faithful reader in England the other day. Andrew Sewell, who often sends us story ideas from European farm shows, sent me a picture of a beat-up ice scraper and asked if I knew where he could buy one like it. He bought it more than 20 years ago while on a trip to the U.S. and has never been able to find another one like it.
“I live near a river in a shallow valley so I often get a lot of fine frost on the windshield. This scraper is about a foot long and has a 4-in. brass blade that works much better than any plastic scraper I’ve ever tried,” says Sewell. “The blade broke out of the plastic after a couple years so I drilled holes to bolt it back in place. In fact, I’ve repaired it a couple times over the years. It still works fine but I’d like to find a new one.”
